The cabin rental business has become extremely popular in the Smokies area. There are numerous companies promoting their cabins and dot the landscape all over the area. Most of these range from 1 bedroom all the way up to 5 -6 bedroom chalets. However, most of them promote a "scheduled getaway" when in fact they are part of a huge complex. Most of the campgrounds listed on this site have cabins available. They range from "rustic" to "fully furnished". A rustic style is compared to just a bunkhouse. No amenities, just beds, which means using the camps facilities, sometimes a distance away from the cabin. Some offer amenities like refrigerators, coffee maker, and etc. A fully furnished cabin should offer a complete kitchenette and bathroom with shower. Please check with each campground and ask questions to make your stay most enjoyable. We promote the cabins that these wonderful campgrounds have because you are still in a campground and can enjoy all the amenities and beautiful scenery they have to offer.We know camping is not for everyone, but by utilizing the cabins these campgrounds have, it is the closet you can get and still have the modern comforts.
Keep in mind that these cabins DO fill-up fast, so contact the campground of your choice and make reservations now. If they are booked-up, and you still want to stay at that campground, please consider renting a fully furnished travel trailer.Clabough's and Mill Creek, offer a "Park Model Cabin". These are a smaller version of a single wide mobile home which really gives you a more "just like home" feeling. These are great for extended stays. And remember, you are still in a campground!!!
